I feel like I am waiting for the new baby to arrive. I had to do all this preparations and have been saving food for them in the refrigerator for a month. I prepared the worms home and I have their food in place - now I just have to wait for them to come in the mail. they say they will be pretty distressed from the trip, so I should be ready to put them in their home as soon as possible. It is actually taking them a long time.
...You really need to blog everything about the worms. Your opening paragraph is so cute!! Also take pics, I and other people who are not aware of the whole garbage eating worms would be fascinated and could learn something...

How are the babies? Do you have to give them water or keep them damp? Also do
you have to remove their waste/compost? Will they run out of the 'stuff' they're
in, can't remember what you said it was.

October 3, 2009 - worm report
I bought the worms into the kitchen from out of the garage today. I had hoped I didnt have to do that until November. But is has been so cold that I have had to turn the heat on for me. So I always worry about them at night. but you know, the garage does not get that cold. This is a new leg of the journey.
